Q This isn't listed as a Gen-2 version. Is the wheeled 8 gun case the only Gen-2 8 gun case? answer now

This is technically a Gen-2 version. We never had a Gen-1 version of this product so when it launched, it came with all Gen-2 features, but not the Gen-2 designation simply because Gen-1 never existed.

Yes, it will. You will need to use the spacer blocks to properly fit it because that gun is so small. However if you review the product video it describes how to properly configure the foam blocks to accommodate smaller pistols.
Q If the barrel on a revolver is 3.25 inches long, why would it not fit in this case? answer now

The likely issue you will have is not the barrel length, but rather the cylinder width. Of course there are exceptions to every rule, but generally speaking, the foam intended to fit the barrel won't be wide enough to properly fit the wider diameter revolver cylinders.
