This case will definitely not fall under the 50 lbs oversized limit. The case itself is 27 lbs (the shipping weight with cardboard box is 28.9 lbs). The Midas M32R mixer is 31.5 lbs which will put it close to 60 lbs not even including any cables or accessories.

There is foam below the mixer so the M32R is sitting on padding. For the side walls there is carpet between the mixer and case wall. The carpet protects the finish of the mixer and also offers a small amount of padding, but of course the carpet is not as protective as foam. This case was made to be as compact as possible for an average user however if you are looking for a more protective setup & can accept a larger case please consider our Midas M32R Digital Mixer & DL16 Stage Box Case which is more protective, but also larger in size.

Although the tray sits above the faders, there are side rails laminated to the bottom outer edges that support the weight of the tray. These side rails ensure the faders remain untouched (& undamaged) when the tray is in place during transport.
