Description

The Case Club Desert Tech SRS A1, SRS A1 Covert, and HTI Rifle Case is one of a kind, and the best Desert Tech Rifle Case on the market today. The precut foam is form fitted to fit a DT SRS A1, SRS A1 Covert, or HTI (barrel removed) rifle nice and snug for secure transportation and storage. The case will also hold extra rifle magazines, an extra barrel, an extra bolt, attached optics, attached bipods, attached foregrips, a torque wrench, an allen wrench set, silica gel canister (included), & more in the generic accessory pocket. The case itself is tough injection molded polypropylene, and has a built in pressure equalization valve for changing altitudes. It is heavy duty enough to ship or check on an airplane and can handle all the abuse from TSA agents. 4 built in heavy duty latches ensure nothing gets in or out. Padlockable holes are also built right in, which can take standard sized padlocks so you can be guaranteed this case is safe & secure. The foam insert is closed cell military grade polyethylene which can be wiped clean if wet or oily. The foam is perforated above and below the main rifle cutout so you can remove the foam (with included knife!) as needed to customize the insert for your unique optics and attachments. There are 3 cutouts for the SRS magazines and 2 cutouts for HTI magazines. A reusable silica gel canister is included to remove moisture from within the case. Once the silica gel is saturated just pop it in the oven to cook out the moisture & use it again. The lid holds a foam combination of convoluted (egg crate) & closed cell polyethylene, specifically engineered to hold everything down perfectly. This case is compact, organized, & uses all available space to the fullest. Protect your investment, buy Case Club.

Questions and answers of the customers

  1. Answered by the admin With the existing cutouts, there is no specific place for the suppressor. If you were able to make this case work, you definitely would not be able to keep it on the barrel. The best option you have with this case is to remove it & store it in the accessory pocket. I will add that all the foam plugs are shipped with the case, so theoretically you could modify that particular plug to fit the suppressor and put it back in if you desire a snug fit.
  2. Answered by the admin Yes. There is a spot in the lid for the barrel. (you can see it in the photo close to the hinge).
  3. Q Is the Dessert Tech SRS A1 included? answer now
Asked by Jona on October 6, 2019 5:10 pm
    Answered by the admin

The rifle is not included nor are the rifle accessories.

  4. Answered by the admin

The lid is 1.5" deep however there is foam and plastic glued behind the barrel that leaves only 1" extra for the current barrel to sit in. Based on that math, there is not enough space in the lid to hold 2 barrels in the same cutout. However answering your question more directly, there is room for a second barrel cutout in the lid right above the first barrel. We considered adding that feature to this product, but quickly learned the weight of the barrel is heavy enough that it naturally finds slack in the Velcro (if not fastened tightly) and often sags out of the pocket a bit. With the current barrel position, that is not a problem when it happens as it does not overlap the rifle in a noticeable way. With that said a second barrel could be added to the lid under some circumstances and work just fine, but we decided to play it safe for the general consumer and omit that second extra barrel to ensure nobody's gear was jeopardized from user error. We would be happy to make you a custom foam insert to accommodate another barrel if required however the cost would go up.

  5. Answered by the admin

For this case the bolt must come out of the gun. Leaving the bolt in makes the overall width of the rifle too thick to the point this case would not be able to shut. We opted to go this route so the case could be thinner and more compact for the user. We don't currently have any other version of this case. If certain cutouts are not used you could retrofit them for other uses. Otherwise if this case doesn't meet your needs we can always manufacturer you a custom foam insert using your choice of case. Of course the cost will be more and if the bolt stays in the gun you can expect the case size to be larger.

  6. Q Will the new Desert Tech SRS A2 fit in this case? answer now
Asked by Dean on August 8, 2019 4:31 am
A Desert Tech SRS A2 fits in the case with out any trouble. The new 80lbs torque wrench that ships from Desert Tech, for barrel installation, does not fit into its designated location. Too much of the new handle sticks up for the case to shut.
  7. Q Can I have this srsa1 custom foam put into a Pelican case? answer now
Asked by mark c plattner on May 2, 2019 1:28 am
    Answered by the admin

All of our foam inserts including this one can be put into a Pelican case (or any other case for that matter). The main hurdle to consider when going this route is the cost. You would be looking at double or triple the price due to the fact your case would be a one off and Pelican cases are more expensive.
