Answered by the admin There is a little room above the pistol for a DIY optic cutout. You couldn't go larger than a small red dot, but there is room.
Q Would this case accommodate an AK47 as well as a AR15? answer now

Answered by the admin No. The AK47 has a drastically different shape (& size) then an AR15 so the cutout won't line up correctly.

Answered by the admin The lid foam is 1.625" thick. Be advised there is a plastic panel behind the foam in which the Velcro is threaded through. We use a lot of glue to adhere it to the lid so although not impossible to remove, it will be difficult.

45 degree sights are untested in this case however based on the thickness of the foam layers along with the loose divider piece separating the guns, it is unlikely 45 degree sights would fit.

Although the AR10 will fit in the lid or the base, the Tavor 7 is untested. Based on the shape of the Tavor when compared to the cutouts for the AR10, it looks like the Tavor 7 wouldn't fit. (At least not without heavy foam modification).

This configuration will not work with your Scar rifles. Technically the foam could be trimmed to fit the Scar 16 & Scar 17 however the main issue will be the charging handle. As you may know, the charging handles on Scars stick out quite a bit. The rifle in the lid would have an issue of not being able to sit flat while the charging handle of the rifle in the base will hit the rifle in the lid when closing the case.

If you removed the silica gel canister and manually cut a barrel extension into the foam, you could extend the upper rifle length to 48". You could extend it even further if you went past the magazine convolute area as well.
