The Pelican™ 1490CC1 case is the same outer shell as the Pelican™ 1490 Case, the difference is however this case (Pelican™ 1490CC1) is the laptop / notebook version of the case. (CC stands for computer case.) As you can see from the picture there is no foam in this case. The Pelican™ 1490CC1 case comes with a tray to fit your laptop / notebook computer in the base and a computer lid organizer in the lid. Think of the Pelican™ 1490CC1 case like a waterproof, transportable workstation that can go anywhere you can. The Pelican™ 1490CC1 case also comes with a shoulder strap for easy carrying. For reference there is also a Pelican™ 1490CC2 Case which is the same as this case except with Customizable Foam in the base instead of the tray.
