4 Ways to Create Custom Foam

Give us a C.A.D. Drawing

The least expensive alternative to have a custom foam insert is to supply a pre-made 2D C.A.D. file in .dxf which is to scale. We can take the file and send it right to fabrication eliminating the need to have us layout parts, or create drawings. This will require you to supply the 2D C.A.D. file that is ready to go which means your parts scaled and laid out. (you would already know and tell us the case you require and we will add in the perimeter of the case.) If we deem the file is perfect and requires no tweaking on our part your insert will cost $25 + Material Cost. Note: Price is for only 1 custom foam layer purchased with a Case Club case.

If you can supply a 2D .dxf, with your parts outlined, but are unsure about the layout of the parts in the case, or the case itself, we can help you for a minimal fee.

Notice the line of scale (12" in this picture) This line will help us scale your interior so that its the perfect size. Don't worry the line of scale will be deleted after the image is scaled.

Send Us a .JPG or .Gif “That you Traced”
$50 + Foam

If you can't supply a 2D .dxf then the following is your next best alternative. We can accept common images such as .jpg, .tiff, .gif, but there are requirements. It must be a 2D tracing of the layout you desire. (A picture taken from your camera will not help us cut foam in this situation [see # 4]. The image you supply will have to be created in a Paint or Photoshop program. Be careful though as often times these programs are difficult to scale your work.) Supply us with a scaled image {not necessarily scaled 1x1, but the dimensions still need to be proportionally correct to your layout.
If you can supply an image that shows the cavities you require with dimensions, but is not to scale then we can scale it for you for a minimal fee.

Send Us a Full Size Tracing
$75 + Foam

If alternative 1 or 2 is not for you, consider this. Send us a full scale outline of your sketched parts and tell us what case your parts will be going in, otherwise sketch your own perimeter around your parts. Our design team can take what you trace and cut the foam exactly on your lines. If this route sounds like your solution, please be sure to follow 3 rules. 1) Be sure to sketch your items carefully with a black medium to fine point marker as we will be cutting exactly on the line. 2) Use blank white paper (preferably 1 piece which can be purchased at craft stores), but if you have to tape blank pages together use clear tape and tape from the backside only. 3) Fold your drawing up, put it in an envelope and send it to Case Club.

Send Us Your Physical Parts
$75 + Foam

The last alternative is the easiest for you or your company. Send us your parts. You can even include a quick photo on how you want your parts laid out. Maybe you don't have time to create a drawing or sketch. Perhaps you would rather rely on us to make sure the insert turns out perfect. If this is your situation then send your parts to Case Club and let us do everything for you.
